[...] In previous tutorials we have covered supervised learning in various forms. One typical problem that is tackled with supervised algorithms is classification. Here we shall take a look at classification’s unsupervised cousin – clustering. [...]

AWESOME tutorial.

I'm very inspired to learn more and implement SVMs. Incredible performance! Crikey!

Thanks!

Do you plan to add random forest algorithm? It would be nice ..
I compared it against svm and i got good results..

This was a good read, but I think when you speak about real world problems, you should probably acknowledge that accurate classification is not the only success criteria of classifiers, or be more clear that you are only contrasting the accuracy of results. Knowing exactly why a data point is classified the way it is (for example, in a law enforcement environment) is sometimes just as important as proper classification. This is an area where I know Bayes performs very well, though I'm not sure about the others.

Cheers, TL

Great Tutorial !!! I wonder if i could use Synapse to classify a small text, something similar to classify it as A or B? Do you have a tutorial to do this? Thanks !!

1. please, put more tutorials and examples about the use of the software in real complex problems.

2. Where may I visualize the SOM?
